Charleroi final place confirmed

Action 21 Charleroi are in the UEFA Futsal Cup final at the expense of Interviú Boomerang.

Yellow cards
The Spanish side beat Nickel 11-3 at La Garenne, Charleroi, on 21 March, a result which ensured they would finish top of their section and secure a place in the final. However, Boomerang played Javier Orol in the match despite him being suspended for receiving two yellow cards earlier in the competition. The Spanish side appealed the decision but that was rejected today meaning Charleroi and holders Playas de Castellón will meet in the two-legged final.

Belgium first
The first leg will be in Charleroi on Wednesday 16 April. The second leg will then follow on Saturday 3 May in Castellon. The kick-off times have yet to be confirmed.

Default victory
The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body first studied the case last week and decreed that a 3-0 victory be awarded to Norilsky by default. The amended Group A table subsequently saw Boomerang, Charleroi and Norilsky tied on six points.

Goals scored
The triumvirate each won one game against the other and had identical goal differences from their matches against each other, leaving Charleroi to top the table courtesy of their 12 goals scored. Boomerang struck eight goals and Norilsky seven.

Possible appeal
The decision means the UEFA Futsal Cup final will again be contested by Charleroi and Castellón. The Spanish side beat Charleroi 5-1 in last season's inaugural final.
