FC Barcelona will defend their UEFA Futsal Cup title at the knockout finals in April after topping elite round Group D with maximum points. The deciding games in Groups A and C are on Sunday – Kairat Almaty are already through from the latter section – while Group B ended yesterday with ISK Dina Moskva qualifying.

Group D
Baku United FC 6-0 MVFC Berettyóújfalu

• Baku ended their elite round campaign on a high, condemning Berettyóújfalu to a third straight defeat and fourth place in the section. It was the English side who dominated throughout and were 3-0 ahead at the interval thanks to two goals from Carlos – who completed his hat-trick after the break – and a José Carlos effort. Tobe and Keny also got in on the act in the second period to complete a comprehensive triumph.

Lokomotiv Kharkiv 0-5 FC Barcelona
• Two goals in 20 seconds from Wilde, one of them from inside the Barcelona half, rounded off a resounding victory for the holders. Lokomotiv, who like the Blaugrana had won their opening two elite round games, fell behind to Carlos Filho's cross-shot. Sergio Lozano swiftly doubled the lead with a powerful strike and Saad put the outcome beyond doubt early in the second half before Wilde came to the fore.
