AS Roma and FC Shakhtar Donetsk were the latest teams to book places in the UEFA Youth League round of 16 on Tuesday while there was a crucial and dramatic win for FC Barcelona. UEFA.com rounds up the action.

Group E
PFC CSKA Moskva 0-2 AS Roma
• Roma sealed progress with two goals in the final 13 minutes against depleted opponents. The hosts − missing captain Nikita Chernov, an unused substitute for the senior side tonight, and injured ever-presents Aleksandr Makarov and Anatoli Nikolaesh – fell behind to substitute Lorenzo Di Livio's shot from 15 metres. Daniele Verde rounded things off from the spot, scoring after Elgyun Ulukhanov had received a second yellow card for bringing him down in the penalty area.

Manchester City FC 6-0 FC Bayern München
• City made sure of first place and a home round of 16 tie as they ended Bayern's hopes to maintain their perfect record. Tosin Adarabioyo slotted in the first and Brandon Barker added the second with a fine low shot from outside the box to beat Enrico Caruso to his right. Bersant Celina turned in a fine ball from the impressive Thierry Ambrose, and the domination continued in the second half with Jack Byrne scoring two, including a superb free-kick. Celina completed the scoring with a delicate chip.

Group F
APOEL FC 2-3 FC Barcelona

• Holders Barcelona set up a 9 December decider with Paris Saint-Germain but already-eliminated APOEL did not make it easy. Sergi Palencia's superb solo run set up Isaac Padilla for Barcelona's 19th-minute opener but soon after Georgios Christodoulou equalised. APOEL piled on the pressure and after Michalis Papakonstantinou hit the post, Christos Kallis headed them into a half-time lead. Barcelona turned the game, though, Amir Natkho levelling on 76 minutes and Alex Corredera getting the winner six minutes later. Barcelona will be through with a home win in a fortnight.

Group G
Sporting Clube de Portugal 3-2 NK Maribor
• Substitute Luis Elói scored the decisive goal after 65 minutes of an eventful encounter that confirmed Sporting as finishing third in Group G. Martin Kramarič had given the Purples, who have lost all five of their games, the lead and then cancelled out José Correia's second of the match before half-time.

FC Schalke 04 2-0 Chelsea FC
• Schalke, who lost 4-1 to the Blues on matchday one, are now level with their opponents on 12 points. Maurice Multhaup struck twice in the second half, his first coming after a neat chipped pass by Sven Köhler. Multhaup made it two with a powerfully struck free-kick from the edge of the box.

Group H
FC BATE Borisov 0-0 FC Porto
• The visitors' failure to take any of five presentable opportunities means they go into the matchday six visit of Shakhtar still needing a point to join the Ukrainian team in the round of 16. BATE are off the mark at the fifth time of asking.

FC Shakhtar Donetsk 6-0 Athletic Club
• Requiring only a point to progress, Shakhtar locked down top spot in style. They were three goals to the good by the 18-minute mark. Andriy Boryachuk doubled his match tally shortly before Athletic had Gorka Guruzeta dismissed midway through the second half.

Group D
RSC Anderlecht P-P Galatasaray AŞ
• Anderlecht were leading 2-0 and heading through as group winners when their game was abandoned with seconds remaining following crowd trouble. A decision from UEFA will follow.
