Chelsea FC progressed on Wednesday to join AS Roma, Manchester City FC, SL Benfica, RSC Anderlecht, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Porto and Club Atlético de Madrid in the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals.
The last-eight ties, played as one-off matches, are set for 10/11 and 17/18 March. The semi-finals (10 April) and final (13 April) will be played as part of a four-team tournament at the Colovray Stadium opposite UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Chelsea FC 3-1 FC Zenit
• Chelsea forced to come from behind after Ilya Kubyshkin's 13th-minute opener for Zenit.
• Tournament top scorer Dominic Solanke equalised with his eighth goal of the campaign.
• Substitute Kasey Palmer put the Londoners ahead after half-time before Kubyshkin's 58th-minute dismissal.
• Charlie Colkett sealed victory for Chelsea from the spot on 72 minutes.

Manchester City FC 1-1 FC Schalke 04 (City win 3-1 on pens)
• Irish youngster Jack Byrne put City ahead with a long-range effort palmed in by keeper Janik Schilder.
• Schalke managed six more shots than the hosts (17 to 11) and eventually equalised in added time through Christian Sivodedov's deflected strike.
• Maurice Multhaup rattled the crossbar with Schalke's first spot kick; Maurice Neubauer and Sivodedov had attempts saved by Angus Gunn.
• City have at least matched last season's quarter-final place.
AFC Ajax 0-0 AS Roma (Roma win 6-5 on pens)
• Ajax's Abdelhak Nouri saw his 57th-minute penalty repelled by Gabriele Marchegiani.
• Marchegiani won it for the Giallorossi by keeping out Carel Eiting's spot kick in the shoot-out.
• Roma lost three of their group fixtures, more than any other team in the round of 16.
SL Benfica 2-1 Liverpool FC
• Diogo Gonçalves scored the winner 15 minutes from time as Benfica – runners-up last season – marched on.
• Hildeberto Pereira had given the Eagles an early lead but Liverpool hit right back through Sergi Canós.
• An open game featured 30 shots, with Benfica mustering 17 to the Reds' 13.

RSC Anderlecht 1-0 FC Barcelona
• Aaron Leya Iseka scored the only goal eight minutes after half-time following good work from Bilal Jellal.
• Both sides struck the woodwork in the first half, Samy Bourard's with an early free-kick and Isaac Padilla just before the break.
• Eight of the triumphant Barcelona squad from last season's inaugural final – Xavi Quintillà, Lionel Enguene, Rodri Tarín, Wilfrid Kaptoum, Mohamed El Ouriachi, Juanma García, Sergi Palencia and Juan Antonio – featured in their 2014/15 effort.
FC Shakhtar Donetsk 1-1 Olympiacos FC (Shakhtar win 5-4 on pens)
• Shakhtar, one of three unbeaten sides so far, earned a trip to SL Benfica or Liverpool FC.
• Olympiacos dominated the early stages and led on 11 minutes through skipper Nikos Vergos.
• Beka Vachiberadze levelled from the spot yet was to miss a potential winner in the shoot-out.
• However, captain Oleh Kudryk then saved from Ardit Toli having previously denied Ilias Ignatidis.
• That allowed Denys Arendaruk to convert to send Shakhtar through in Kyiv.

Real Madrid CF 1-1 FC Porto (Porto win 3-1 on pens)
• Porto will visit RSC Anderlecht or holders FC Barcelona after Gudino saved penalties from Aleix Febas and Philipp Lienhart, with Cristian Cedrés having missed Madrid's first kick.
• Borja Mayoral gave Madrid the lead on the hour despite Dani Fernandez's 49th-minute dismissal. Mayoral was also the only Madrid player to convert in the shoot-out.
• Porto's Leonardo had a 79th-minute penalty stopped by David Oliveros yet slotted home another spot kick soon after; he was one on three Porto players successful in the ensuing drama.

Club Atlético de Madrid 1-0 Arsenal FC
• Tete Morente teed up Amath Diedhiou for a first-minute opener; Arsenal rallied but could not hit back.
• Andrés Mohedano missed a gilt-edged chance to send Atlético in at the break 2-0 up.
• Kaylen Hinds and Ainsley Maitland-Niles spurned Arsenal's best opportunities either side of Rojiblancos defender Theo's late dismissal.
