Zidane to face France Under-17 team-mates

Luca Zidane, a 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship winner, could meet five of his France team-mates from those finals when Real Madrid play Paris Saint-Germain on Friday.

2015 final highlights: France 4-1 Germany

Eleven months ago Luca Zidane kept goal as a powerful and athletic France squad swept to the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship title.

On Friday in Nyon, however, the Real Madrid keeper could face five of his team-mates from that tournament in Bulgaria – Alec Georgen, Lorenzo Callegari, Mamadou Doucoure, Odsonne Edouard and Nanitamo Ikone – when the Spanish side take on Paris Saint-Germain in the second UEFA Youth League semi-final, kick-off 17.00CET.

Zidane will know just how lethal a finisher Edouard can be. The French Guiana-born forward was the outstanding performer in Bulgaria 11 months ago, scoring a U17-final-tournament record eight goals, including a hat-trick in the title decider against Germany. Unsurprisingly, he was named UEFA.com's Golden Player.
