Substitutes score
Germany's Manuel Fischer, Spain's Bojan Krkić and Tomáš Necid of the Czech Republic all stood on four goals this morning. In the third-place match between Spain and Germany neither Krkić and Fischer started - but both came on at half-time. First 15-year-old FC Barcelona striker Krkić struck for the fifth time as a substitute in this tournament, then Fischer equalised to force a penalty shoot-out in which he missed, but his Spanish rival scored on the way to victory.
Necid levels
Necid was also on the bench in the final against Russia, but was sent on and in extra time, with his team trailing 2-1, headed an equaliser. He also was on target in the penalty shoot-out, but Russia, for who Aleksandr Prudnikov became their only player to claim more than one goal in these finals when he opened the scoring, prevailed to take the title. In all, 16 games in Luxembourg produced 48 goals.
