The Czech Republic and Switzerland are the first teams through to the UEFA European Under-17 Championship Elite round.

Places booked
Both sides won their opening two qualifying round Group 13 fixtures against hosts Belarus and San Marino to progress into the draw for the next stage at 09.30CET on 9 December. The Czech Republic then beat Switzerland 4-0 for first place while Belarus defeated San Marino by the same scoreline. However, they must wait to see if they progress as one of the two third-placed teams with the best record against the leading pair in their group.

Flying start
Switzerland made a flying start, beating San Marino 10-0 with four Stjepan Vuleta goals. It was closer in the other game, a Filip Twardzik goal 15 minutes before time deciding the Czech Republic's game against Belarus.

Duo through
Two days later Filip Twardzik was on target again to give the Czech Republic a half-time lead against San Marino and Filip Rozsival, Filip's twin brother Patrik Twardzik and Dominik Mandula scored after the break, with San Marino's Giacomo Bartoli sent off when it was 3-0. Qualification was then decided when two Mattia Desole goals, the first a penalty, ensured Switzerland beat Belarus 2-0.

Belarus third
On the final day the Czech Republic raced into a three-goal half-time lead against Switzerland through Filip Twardzik, Rozsival and Matěj Hybš and Tomáš Česlák ensured first place in added time. Belarus kept their campaign alive thanks to Yuri Kovalev's hat-trick and Yevgeni Shpak's strike against San Marino.
