The lineup for the 2010 UEFA European Under-17 Championship final tournament draw on Wednesday is complete after France joined the other seven qualifiers as the best elite round runners-up.
First-time qualifiers Greece, the Czech Republic, England and former champions Portugal, Spain, Turkey and Switzerland all won their groups, securing their places in Liechtenstein from 16 to 30 May. As the host nation withdrew their team, an extra berth was made available for the runners-up with the best record against the sides first and third in their section. France – pipped by Turkey in Group 5 – came through in that reckoning, the 2004 winners conceding one goal fewer than holders Germany.
They join the other seven qualifiers in the draw at the Kunstmuseum in Vaduz from 19.30CET on Wednesday, where the teams will be split into two groups of four. The top two in each pool will progress to the 27 May semi-finals, with the decider scheduled for the Rheinpark stadium in Vaduz three days later.
