Spain have been drawn with fellow former UEFA European Under-17 Championship winners Portugal, France and Switzerland in their bid for a third title in four years.
The finals will be played in Liechtenstein from 18 to 30 May and the draw was made at the Kunstmuseum in Vaduz by Jim Boyce, vice-chairman of the UEFA Youth and Amateur Football Committee, and the principality's national-team goalkeeper Peter Jehle. While 2007 and 2008 winners Spain and their rivals are in Group A, past champions Turkey, recent runners-up England and the Czech Republic and debutants Greece are in Group B. The host nation are not competing in the finals.
Group matches will be played in Vaduz and Eschen-Mauren on 18, 21 and 24 May. The focus then switches solely to the Rheinpark stadium in Vaduz for the semi-finals on 27 May and final three days later. The full schedule, including the nine games shown live by Eurosport, will be confirmed shortly.
