Holders England and U17 hosts Serbia meet

Holders England have been drawn with finals hosts Serbia, 2004 winners France and Denmark while 2009 champions Germany are in with the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Romania.

Holders England have been drawn with hosts Serbia in next month's UEFA European Under-17 Championship.

In the draw at Belgrade City Hall made by Serbia senior coach Vladimir Petković and Jim Boyce, first vice-chairman of the UEFA Youth and Amateur Football Committee, England and the hosts were placed in Group A with 2004 winners France and Denmark. The 2009 champions Germany play the side they beat in that final, the Netherlands, 2006 runners-up the Czech Republic and first-time qualifiers Romania in Group B.

Group A will be played in Novi Sad and Indjija and Group B in Smederevo and Belgrade, with games on 3, 6 and 9 May. The top two in each pool  go through. Novi Sad's Karadjordje Stadium will stage the semi-finals on 12 May and the final three days later.

Eurosport will televise nine games live including both semi-finals and final. The top three teams in each group qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico from 18 June to 10 July, hoping to emulate 2009 winners Switzerland.

Group A: Serbia (hosts), Denmark, France, England

Group B: Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Romania
