Frank prepares celebrations, Djorić thanks fans

While Thomas Frank is preparing to celebrate Denmark's qualification, England's John Peacock regroups and Serbia's Milovan Djorić thanks home support after a 1-1 draw against France.

Denmark's Thomas Frank was in predictably high spirits as he prepared a night of celebration after his team booked a semi-final berth as UEFA European Under-17 Championship Group A winners courtesy of a 2-0 win against England. The holders' coach John Peacock was gracious in defeat ahead of Monday's make-or-break fixture against Serbia, whose trainer Milovan Djorić admits his focus is on finishing third in the section having drawn 1-1 with France on Friday. France are a point ahead of both Serbia and England.

It was a top performance today and we needed it
Thomas Frank
I'm obviously disappointed – I have to give a lot of credit to Denmark
John Peacock
We played badly against Denmark, but I am satisfied with the team
Milovan Djorić
I think it will be difficult as Denmark will be relaxed and it is extremely difficult to see how the competition will finish now

DENMARK 2-0 ENGLAND
Thomas Frank, Denmark coach

I hoped that we could play that well but I said before that England are the best team in the group. It was a top performance today and we needed it. Especially in the first half, we were very good and England didn't hit their high level. In the second half we defended very well. We haven't been to a World Cup before so I am so happy now. We've won the group no matter what we do [against France].

John Peacock, England manager
I'm obviously disappointed – I have to give a lot of credit to Denmark. They showed in the first game against Serbia how well they play. We knew we would be in a very difficult game today and I don't think it helped when we conceded two goals in 15 minutes. That gave us a lot to do to recover from that and they defended well in the second period. We didn't quite get the goal we hoped would have made it a bit closer, but congratulations to Denmark. You can't give any international team, certainly not one of the quality of Denmark, a two-goal lead at half-time.

SERBIA 1-1 FRANCE
Milovan Djorić, Serbia coach
We played badly against Denmark, but I am satisfied with the team – particularly in terms of their attacking play – against a stronger team like France, even after we have drawn. One point [against England] and the FIFA [U-17] World Cup in Mexico is the first goal. I would like to thank the public today. The best team in our group is certainly France. We will try to win our third game, but our first goal is Mexico.

Patrick Gonfalone, France coach
I don't know how this competition will end. Serbia have the chance to qualify for the World Cup, England are in the same situation. For us, we play Denmark who are already qualified. I think it will be difficult as Denmark will be relaxed and it is extremely difficult to see how the competition will finish now.
