Skipper Passlack on his Germany U17 squad mates

A forward like Arjen Robben, a handy table-tennis player, a defender turned striker and four NBA fanatics – Felix Passlack introduces the Germany squad.

1Constantin Frommann (SC Freiburg, goalkeeper)
He's like Oliver Kahn between the sticks – he's our 'wall' at the back.

2 Felix Passlack (Borussia Dortmund, midfielder, captain)
I don't like talking about myself, but I'd probably say my main qualities are my speed, two-footedness, my dynamism and my leadership.

3Dzenis Burnic (Borussia Dortmund, defender)
Dzenis is the joker of the squad, on and off the pitch. Him and Vitaly Janelt are our crazy twins.

4 Gökhan Gül (VfL Bochum 1848, midfielder)
Gökhan is a funny guy, while out on the pitch he's like a machine.

5Erdinc Karakas (VfL Bochum 1848, defender)
Erdinc is so laid-back sometimes you wonder if he's still breathing. He's a cool customer.

6Joel Abu Hanna (Bayer 04 Leverkusen, defender)
He's one of the squad's NBA freaks, along with Daniel Nesseler, Enes Aykol and Janni Serra – they're always playing NBA on PlayStation. He's a very good defender, a bit like David Luiz in his playing style and hair cut.

7Dennis Geiger (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, midfielder)
He's a very clever guy off the pitch, and he knows what he doing on the field too.

9 Johannes Eggestein (SV Werder Bremen, forward)
Johannes is ice-cool in front of goal. He's the best table-tennis player in the squad – maybe even the world!

10 Niklas Schmidt (SV Werder Bremen, midfielder)
Niklas has got a fantastic right foot. He's very good player and a very nice guy. A real maestro.

11 Mats Köhlert (Hamburger SV, forward)
Mats is like a little Arjen Robben. Well, he's like a mix of Robben and the killer doll Chucky.

12 Markus Schubert (SG Dynamo Dresden, goalkeeper)
He's a very quiet guy, and I mean really quiet. Whenever he plays, he does a good job.

13 Daniel Nesseler (Bayer 04 Leverkusen, defender)
Another of the NBA freaks. He's very quiet on the pitch – but very focused.

14 Görkem Saglam (VfL Bochum 1848, midfielder)
Like Niklas Schmidt, he's another player with a great right foot. He's a very clever player and takes good free-kicks.

15 Salih Özcan (1. FC Köln, midfielder)
Salih is built like a wrestler. He scored the final penalty against Spain, which took a lot of nerve, as he'd missed one earlier in the tournament against the Czech Republic.

16 Janni Serra (Borussia Dortmund, forward)
Janni is a fantastic striker. He used to be a defender, but since he started playing up front for Dortmund last October he has scored 17 goals in 15 games. When you're putting in a cross it's nice to have him to aim at.

17 Enes Akyol (Hertha BSC Berlin, defender)
Yet another NBA freak. He's got a fantastic left foot, is a brilliant dribbler and puts in great crosses – like you saw for Janni Serra's header in the semi-final.

18 Jonas Busam (SC Freiburg, defender)
He's a real fighter on the pitch and never stops running. He has played every minute of every game so far.

20 Vitaly Janelt (RB Leipzig, midfielder)
The other member of the crazy twins along with Dzenis Burnic. He's always fun to have around.
