Spain will be without midfielder Saúl Ñiguez for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship against Greece after the Club Atlético de Madrid player suffered strained left knee ligaments.

The 17–year–old – who has featured in every game for La Rojita at the finals – suffered the injury towards the end of extra time in the semi–final victory against France. His place in the squad has been filled by Real Betis Balompié midfielder José Antonio Delgado Villar, also known as 'Nono'. He is the second Spain replacement at the tournament after full-back Javi Manquillo sustained a tournament-ending angle ligament injury, Salvador Ruiz coming in.

Greece, meanwhile, have been given permission to call up goalkeeper Panagiotis Tsintotas as they will be without regular first choice Stefanos Kapino who is suspended for the final. Panagiotis replaces midfielder Vasilis Bouzas in Kostas Tsanas's squad.
