With both sides unable to qualify for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament in Romania there was only pride at stake as Poland and Ukraine finished their elite round Group 4 campaign with a draw in Szczecinek.
The group hosts took the lead on the stroke of half-time through Michał Żyro but were denied victory by Vladislav Kalitvintsev's strike on 68 minutes which also ensured that Ukraine finished above Poland in third on two points. Both neighbours were out before today's game with Ireland beating Italy to first place.
