The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia ended their elite round campaign with no points as Hungary capitalised on two red cards and two penalties in their final UEFA European Under-19 Championship Group 7 fixture.
Filip Naumchevski had put FYROM ahead after beating Péter Nacsa on 26 minutes, but Máté Skriba equalised from the spot after Filip Najdovski fouled Roland Ugrai. Captain Darko Micevski received a straight red card for a challenge on Roland Szolnoki ten minutes before the break, with Skriba converting a second penalty to make it 2-1 on 53 minutes.
Szolnoki made it 3-1 on 71 minutes, but FYROM responded almost straight from the restart, Filip Timov on target. A second yellow card for Dino Najdoski stopped any hopes of a recovery in their tracks, though it took substitute Gergő Nagy's late strike to make Hungary's win safe. They finish third in the section, with point-less FYROM fourth.
