Spain 2-1 Denmark
Goals from Emilio Nsue and Ander Herrera ensured ten-man Spain continued their preparations for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship with a 2-1 victory against finals hosts Denmark.

The Roja dominated for large spells in Guadalajara. It was not until the 66th minute that they took the lead, however, substitute Nsue latching on to Herrera's pass before lifting the ball over the advancing Mikkel Andersen.

Denmark were soon back on terms, Villarreal CF's Nicki Bille Nielsen smashing home Jens Stryger Larsen's free-kick from the right. The immediate dismissal of Víctor Ruiz made Spain's task even more difficult, but they came up with a winner 13 minutes from time. Nsue turned provider with a flicked pass which Herrera dispatched past Andersen.

With Spain due to open their Group B account against England on 12 June, coach Luis Milla will have been pleased with the performance of a side deprived of the injured Juan Mata, Mikel San José and David de Gea. For Milla's Danish counterpart Keld Bordinggaard there was also a glimmer of hope in the spirit his side showed chasing the game late on.
