'Happy to do so'
The Swiss Football Association (SFV-ASF) has accepted UEFA's invitation to stage the eight-team tournament and UEFA President Lennart Johansson said: "There were other candidates, but it made sense to offer the organisation of the tournament to the Swiss FA, when looking at their record, and they are happy to do so."
Eight finalists
The tournament is scheduled to take place from 16 to 28 May. Besides the Swiss Under-21 side, the other finalists are holders Italy, France, England, Portugal, Greece, Belgium and Czech Republic.
