Turkey 1-0 Ukraine Ibrahim Akin scores the only goal on 25 minutes in front of 5,000 fans in Istanbul.

Narrow margin
Akin's strike decided a closely contested affair and lifted his team to within a point of the Ukrainians in third place in the section. Turkey now have eight points from five matches, one behind their visitors and two adrift of new leaders Denmark. Both countries resume their qualifying campaigns in the new year.
