Ibricic inflicts Lithuanian loss

Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-0 Lithuania Senijad Ibricic is twice on target to give his nation their first Group 7 points.

Dajic introduction
The visitors to Sarajevo were only three points off the Group 7 play-off places before today, and dominated the first half, forcing six corners against a team that had lost twice at home as well as their only away match in the pool, 2-1 in Belgium on Friday. But Ibrahim Zukanovic's side improved after the break and the introduction of Jusuf Dajic from the bench proved crucial as he set up Senijad Ibricic to open the scoring.

Penalty converted
Seventeen minutes from time, Dajic was brought down in the box and Ibricic stepped up to convert the penalty. Zukanovic said: "After a good match in Belgium, we just needed a strong performance and this helped us to win against a very skilful Lithuanian team."

June games
His charges remain fifth in the group, and next meet bottom side San Marino on 3 June. That day fourth-placed Lithuania travel to Spain, who will be keen for points after today's defeat by leaders Serbia and Montenegro.
