Serritslev leaving Denmark set-up

Flemming Serritslev will step down as Denmark's Under-21 coach when his contract expires in the summer of 2006.

Well placed
The 56-year-old has been in charge of the U21 and U20 teams since 2000, and his team are currently well-placed to reach their second consecutive UEFA European U21 Championship play-offs. Wins this week against Kazakhstan and Ukraine has left them clear at the top of Group 2, with an eight-point cushion to third place.

Vejle return
After leaving the national set-up, Serritslev - who has worked for the Danish Football Association since 1992, originally assisting the senior team and leading the U19s - is to become sports director at first division Vejle Boldklub, the club for who he used to play.
