Yerzat Kenbaev and Azat Nurgaliyev both struck twice as Kazakhstan recorded their first victory in qualifying Group 4 of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship as they defeated Georgia 4-1 in Aktobe to move off the bottom of the table.

Lead established
Kenbaev was the hero of the night for the hosts with goals in the 31st and 39th minute. Nurgaliyev added the third two minutes later to allow the hosts go into the interval with a comfortable 3-0 lead. Revaz Barabadze did pull one goal back in the final minutes of the second half only for Nurgaliyev to fire Kazakhstan's fourth with two minutes to go to complete a fine win.

Tough games
Kazakhstan and Georgia both have three points from their five games, each having defeated the other on home soil. But both will need to raise their game if they are to take further points in their next encounters. Kazakhstan's next match in the campaign comes on 26 March when they visit Spain while Georgia are at home to Russia on 20 November.
