Hungary cruised to a 5-0 victory against San Marino to maintain their outside chances of progressing from UEFA European Under-21 Championship Group 8.

Key fixture
The visitors started well in Budapest, but Róbert Feczesin gave the home side the lead after half an hour and added another just after the interval. Two second-half goals from Ádám Szalai and a late Attila Filkor penalty wrapped up a comprehensive win that keeps Hungary third with a chance to finish second, and possibly gain one of the four best runners-up spots, if they beat the side currently holding that position – Serbia – in their last fixture.

Late goals
The first goal came when László Zsidai played an astute ball for Feczesin and the Brescia Calcio striker nodded over Aldo Simoncini. The same player nearly made it 2-0 in the 48th minute when he hit the post but three minutes later, another header found the net to double his, and his team's, tally. Feczesin was then instrumental in the next goal – which came eight minutes from time – playing in substitute Szalai who made no mistake from ten metres. Szalai quickly added a fourth and Attila Filkor finished the scoring from the penalty spot.
