Nothing to show
A crowd of 1,650 at the Tourbillon Stadium in Sion saw the home side take charge of the crucial UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier from the kick-off, keeping their Scandinavian guests inside their own half. However, while the Swiss dominated possession and created the vast majority of the chances, André Schürmann's team had nothing to show for their efforts at the interval.

Lustenberger breakthrough
Within seven minutes of the restart, though, Switzerland made the breakthrough with the influential Fabian Lustenberger finding the target from a Frank Feltscher cross. On 68 minutes, they further underlined their superiority as Adrian Nikci finished following excellent work by defender Kay Voser. The result leaves Switzerland two points behind section leaders the Netherlands, though the reigning U21 champions have a game in hand.
