Second-half goals from Michael Rabušic and Ondrej Čelustka gave the Czech Republic their second win from as many matches in qualification Group 5 for the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

Pacesetters
Rabušic broke the deadlock just before the hour, with Čelustka doubling the lead eleven minutes from time in Reykjavik. Jakub Dovalil's men, who defeated San Marino 8-0 in June, have an early six-point lead in the section although Northern Ireland and holders Germany are yet to begin their campaigns.

Set-piece reward
Both sides fashioned opportunities during the first half, while after the break it was the visitors who started strongly, and they went in front on 58 minutes when Rabušic punished the Iceland defence for failing to clear. Buoyed by their lead, the Czech Republic went in search of a second against a deflated home side and they made sure of the points when Borek Dockal dummied a free-kick from Jan Vošahlík, allowing Čelustka to finish from midway inside the penalty area.
