UEFA European Under-21 Championship hosts Denmark continued their build-up to next summer's final tournament with a 1-1 draw against Lithuania in Aarhus.

A late equaliser from Emil Lyng cancelled out Tadas Eliošius's 69th-minute effort and prevented the visitors – out of contention for a play-off place in qualifying Group 9 – from snatching victory. The strike was reward for a dominant performance from the home team which was littered with missed opportunities.

Søren Frederiksen, Nicki Bille and Mike Jensen all failed to convert chances before Eliošius punished Denmark for their profligacy with the opener, running free on goal and beating goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen. The goal which Denmark's performance warranted finally arrived five minutes from time, however, Lyng striking with a left-foot shot to salvage a draw.
