With Israel preparing to host the UEFA European Under-21 Championship next summer, experienced midfielder Yossi Benayoun spoke to UEFA.com about his paternal role in nurturing the country's next generation.
"I always enjoy meeting new players," said the 32-year-old, who recently returned to West Ham United FC on loan from Premier League rivals Chelsea FC. "I've been around for a long time, over 13 years in the national squad, and it's always nice to see talented young players coming through, and to try and help them and give them confidence. There are a lot of very talented young players who will have to lead the team in the coming years."
