Ticket sales doing brisk trade for Israel finals

With over 100,000 tickets already sold, the Under-21 finals is proving to be a hit with the Israeli public as anticipation rises ahead of Wednesday's opener in Netanya.

With the start of the tournament just a day away, the Under-21 finals have caught the imagination of the Israeli public with tickets flying off the shelves.

The opener between Israel and Norway is almost sold out, with a full house expected at the Netanya Municipal Stadium on Wednesday. The hosts' other two Group A games – taking place in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem – have also proved to be popular, with more than 18,500 tickets already snapped up for the concluding game against England at the Teddy Stadium.

It is not just the home side's games that have drawn the attention of locals, with plenty more group contests benefitting from brisk sales. The mouth-watering encounter between Germany and Spain is just one of many games for which ticket sales have been going well. Russia matches have also been well received and in total, over 100,000 tickets have been sold.
