Poland get holders and England in U21 EURO draw

Hosts Poland will meet Slovakia, holders Sweden and England in Group A, while Spain have been pooled with Portugal following the Under-21 finals draw.

Hosts Poland will take on Slovakia in the opening game of the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, with games against holders Sweden and England to follow, after the draw for the final tournament in Krakow.

Group A: Poland (hosts), Slovakia, Sweden (holders), England
Group B: Portugal, Serbia, Spain, FYR Macedonia
Group C: Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy

An all-Iberian encounter between Portugal and four-time winners Spain is among the highlights in prospect in Group B, while Germany and the Czech Republic have been pooled with five-time winners Italy and Denmark.
