Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio is the new face in Italy's provisional 30-man squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in the Netherlands.

'Dream come true'
Marchisio, 21, has played 22 games in Serie B with the Bianconeri. "Being called up by the U21s is a dream come true," he said. "Unfortunately I'm recovering from a slight injury but coach Pierluigi Casiraghi has told me not to worry about that. I hope to convince him to take me to the Netherlands." AS Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani, 22, returns to the fold after recovering from the knee problem which has forced him to miss the majority of the season. The five-time U21 champions are in Group B with Serbia, England and the Czech Republic. Casiraghi will cut his squad to 23 players on 30 May.
