France completed their UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win against Israel. The French Under-21 side put in a convincing performance as a goal in each half saw them overcome Israel at a canter.
Liverpool FC's Florent Sinama-Pongolle opened the scoring after 22 minutes and France killed the game when Montpellier Hérault SC striker Habib Bamogo scored the second after 74 minutes to the delight of the 5,000 crowd.
Les Bleuets dominated the match with Israel's only sortie coming in the second half when they struck the bar. Now France boss Raymond Domenech can look forward to the play-off draw on Monday.
