Poland end Latvia hopes

Latvia 0-2 Poland Unbeaten Group 4 leaders move closer to the play-offs with away victory.

Poland moved closer to the UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-offs as the unbeaten Group 4 leaders won 2-0 in Latvia.

Victory clinched
The home side needed victory to keep their qualification hopes alive, but fell behind on 42 minutes through Lukasz Nawotczynski. Sebastian Olszar added a second 17 minutes into the second half to clinch the victory for the visitors.

Deciding game
With two games left in the group, Poland lead Sweden by three points with 16 points from six matches. The top two meet in Wodzislaw Slaski on Tuesday, with victory enough to confirm Poland's play-off place as group winners.
