Klava strikes late for Latvia

Luxembourg 1-2 Latvia Oskars Klava's late strike enabled the visitors to open their Group 3 account.

Oskars Klava's late strike earned Latvia a 2-1 win against Luxembourg to open their Group 3 account.

Winning goal
Klava found the target nine minutes from time to earn his side's first points in their UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign after they lost 2-1 at home against Portugal in their opening game.

Luxembourg beaten
They opened the scoring at the Op Biirk stadium through Aleksejs Visnakovs’s 32nd-minute effort and although Philippe Durer equalised for the home side seven minutes into the second half, Luxembourg could not hold on and now have just one point from three games.
