Strugglers play out stalemate

Scotland 0-0 Moldova The home side remain without a win as Moldova preserve fifth place in Group 5.

Moldova held on to fifth place in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 5 thanks to a goalless draw at bottom team Scotland.

Another goalless game
At kick-off one point split these teams, whose match in Moldova finished 0-0 in March. And it was a similar story at Firhill as chances were few and far between.

Scottish chance
Scotland remain without a win but can leap to fourth place if they defeat Belarus in Minsk on Tuesday. Moldova's next game is on 2 September, at home to Belarus who they overcame 3-2 in the away fixture for their only victory in the group so far.
