Lithuania make their point

Lithuania 1-1 Spain Arturas Rimkevicius's equaliser meant the spoils were shared in Kaunas.

Lithuania and Spain fought out a 1-1 draw in their Group 7 qualifier in Kaunas, a result which means both sides remain in the slipstream of leaders Serbia and Montenegro.

Rimkevicius equalises
In a match played in sub-zero temperatures, Andrés Iniesta opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 25 minutes following a foul on Sergio García. Lithuania hit back shortly after the interval with Arturas Rimkevicius slotting past Asier Riesgo.

Skroblas sent off
Lithuania lost Alfredas Skroblas to a red card five minutes from the end of the match, after he collected a second booking. It is the second draw in five days for Iñaki Sáez's side, who tied with Belgium on Friday. Spain are third in Group 7 with five points, a point and a place ahead of Lithuania, while leaders Serbia-Montenegro top the table with nine points.
