Danes claim pole position

Georgia 2-4 Denmark Two goals in three second-half minutes give the visitors victory in Tbilisi.

Denmark went top of UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 2 after a 4-2 victory against Georgia in Tbilisi.

Advantage Denmark
The Danes claimed the early initiative with goals from Michael Krohn-Dehli and Thomas Kahlenburg, on 12 and 31 minutes respectively. Irakli Modebadze reduced the deficit on the stroke of half-time, yet the visitors made sure of three points when Jonas Kamper and Mikkel Thygesen struck within three minutes of each other as the game reached an exciting climax.

Pole position
Pawel Datunaishvili scored again for Georgia soon after, on 83 minutes, but it was not enough to deny Denmark, who moved a point above a Ukraine side defeated by Turkey. The Danes now have ten points from four matches, having played one game less than nearest challengers Ukraine and Turkey. Georgia are second from bottom in the section with four points from the same number of matches.
