Wales gained a second victory in their 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign with a 4-0 defeat of Bosnia-Herzegovina at Wrexham FC's Racecourse Ground.
MacDonald opener
It gives them six points in Group 10 from three matches, five behind Romania and France but with two games in hand. Brian Flynn's team had to be satisfied with a one-goal advantage at the break, a lead handed them by Shaun MacDonald when he pounced on 29 minutes to finish off an incisive move. Wales were always the superior side, but they could not be assured of all three points until the second half when their dominance paid handsome dividends.
Vokes strikes
AFC Bournemouth midfielder Sam Vokes found the net in style on 54 minutes and the margin of victory was completed late on with goals from Ched Evans and Jack Collison. Manchester City FC striker Evans trained with the Welsh senior side last week while Collison, who captains the West Ham United FC reserve team, is the newest member of the young Welsh team after the Football Association of Wales confirmed his eligibility via a grandfather who hailed from South Wales.
