Petru Stinga's last-gasp winner was enough to give Moldova their first win in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 9 and halt Israel's good start to their campaign.
Moldova, who had lost their opening group game to Northern Ireland thanks to an early goal, appeared to have drawn another blank against the side that reached this summer's finals in the Netherlands until Stinga provided the sucker punch. The result represented a setback for Israel who had begun their quest with a convincing 3-0 win against Luxembourg. Both sides now join Northern Ireland on three points after two games.
