Iceland back to drawing board

Iceland drew their third match in succession in the UEFA European Under-21 qualifying Group 7, this time 0-0 against Belgium in Akranes.

Spirited affair
Iceland had drawn against Slovakia on Friday and they had to settle for a single point again here in a spirited encounter that saw both teams receive three yellow cards. Belgium reached the semi-finals of the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Championship but are still looking for their first win of the 2009 campaign after kicking off with defeat against Austria on Friday. They did have the ball in the net late on here but the strike was ruled out for offside. They next play Slovakia on 12 October while Iceland take on Austria four days after that.
