Two for Derdiyok in Swiss stroll

Switzerland 5-0 Estonia Eren Derdiyok scored twice and Frank Feltscher, Reto Ziegler and Fabian Lustenberger the others in an easy Swiss win.

Eren Derdiyok scored twice and Frank Feltscher, Reto Ziegler and Fabian Lustenberger the others as Switzerland inflicted more misery on Estonia, point-less after five matches at the foot of Group 5.

Estonia chance
The match may have finished in an emphatic victory for the hosts, but Estonia squandered their best chance of the game with barely 40 seconds played. Switzerland wasted little time in making them pay, Derdiyok registering his first of the day. Feltscher doubled the lead on 23 minutes and Ziegler stroked in a penalty seven minutes later to ensure a comfortable final hour.

Norway next
Switzerland went in four goals to the good thanks to Derdiyok's second, and Lustenberger completed the scoring five minutes after the break. The Estonians will try to avoid a sixth successive defeat in Norway on Tuesday, although the Swiss are not in competitive action again until a trip to F.Y.R. Macedonia on 23 March.
