Poland finish with a flourish

Georgia 0-5 Poland
Georgia suffered their second heavy reverse in the space of a week as they finished their qualifying campaign with a 5-0 home defeat by Poland.

Georgia were on the receiving end of a resounding scoreline for the second time in a week as they finished their qualifying campaign with a 5-0 home defeat by Poland.

Georgia bottom
Just four days after losing 4-0 to Russia, Georgia were brushed aside at the Traktor Stadium in Minsk and came bottom of Group 4 as a result. Andrzej Zamilski's team took the lead in the 13th minute when Kamil Glik headed a corner from Maciej Ribusz into the roof of the net, but it was after the break that Poland took control.

Goals flow
Goalkeeper Mikhail Alavidze's reactions denied Maciej Korzym and Ribusz, but once the former headed in the second goal on 74 minutes the floodgates opened. Glik doubled his tally seven minutes later, before Korzym followed suit when he confidently beat Alavidze in a one-on-one situation. Mirza Bzhalava was sent off for Georgia in stoppage time before Mateusz Cetnarski completed the scoring in the final seconds. Poland finished third in the five-team group.
