Pawlowski gives Poland comfort

Poland 1-0 Kazakhstan Szymon Pawlowski proved to be Poland's lucky charm again as he scored the only goal of the game.

Szymon Pawlowski proved to be Poland's lucky charm again as he scored the only goal to give his side their second home win in Group 4.

Tight group
Pawlowski opened the scoring in Poland's last home success in the group, a 3-1 victory against Georgia, and his strike just before the hour mark this time was enough to see off a determined Kazakhstan team who have lost both their games at this stage by a single strike. The win puts Poland level with Spain and Russia on six points at the top of the group, although those sides do have a game in hand. Pawlowski will be hoping to repeat his trick in his side's next match in the group - the crucial visit of Spain on 12 October.
