Turkey, who have won four times and drawn once in five Group 2 games, are now second in the section, a point ahead of Ukraine with two matches in hand. Moreover, they are now just a point adrift of the Czech Republic and have three fixtures left to the leaders' two. Should Turkey win their next fixture in Armenia on 20 August, another victory on 6 September at home to the Czechs will seal top spot and a play-off berth for the finals in Sweden.
