• Ever-present (seven appearances) as Switzerland won the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Nigeria.
• Called up to the senior squad by Ottmar Hitzfeld having played just eight minutes of football at U21 level − gave a composed display in central midfield on his debut in a UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier against England at Wembley this month.
