Women's football went from strength to strength in 2012 – with record-breaking crowds for the UEFA Women's Champions League and Olympic tournament, and every chance more bests will be set at UEFA Women's EURO 2013 in Sweden.
UEFA.com rounds up the views of Germany coach Silvia Neid, England manager Hope Powell and Pia Sundhage – newly in charge of Sweden having earned a FIFA World Coach of the Year for Women's Football nomination after leading the United States to another Olympic gold. "The development of women’s football is so fast now," Sundhage said. "Let's say I went away for five years, and came back, I would be old and done, pretty much. So it is very exciting to be in the women's game today."
