Duo bring the noise to WOMEN'S EURO

The UEFA European Women's Championship in Finland is upon us – and two leading dance music composers have produced a soundtrack to define the tournament that runs until 10 September.

The 2009 UEFA European Women's Championship final round in Finland is upon us – and UEFA has enlisted the services of two leading dance music composers to produce the soundtrack that will define the tournament from 23 August to 10 September.

Trademark sound
British record producers Seamus Haji and Paul Emanuel have established themselves with their trademark Haji & Emanuel sound – a signature bassline, swelling chords and melodic energy – making club hits the world over for the likes of Rihanna, Brandy, Roisin Murphy, Brand New Heavies and Craig David. Their own productions, Weekend, Take Me Away and If, have been benchmark records in their own right. Now football fans will be able to sample these talents in the stadiums, and on television, throughout UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™ in the Finnish cities of Helsinki, Lahti, Tampere and Turku.

In partnership with UEFA
The duo's involvement marks the latest stage in their collaboration with UEFA, which began in 2008 when they expanded their horizons by working on broadcast and stadium music – a stimulating and productive challenge. At the same time Haji & Emanuel were revisiting the top three of the club charts with a cover of the Sounds of Blackness classic, The Pressure, featuring Beverley Knight and Bryan Chambers. They also posted notable hits in the UK and US with remixes of R&B stars Mariah Carey and Rihanna.

Universal appeal
After having worked in the London music industry and the capital's club scene from the late 1980s, the two artists started their partnership in 2002, developing a unique sound. This year the Brighton-based pair have been further consolidating their production skills and taking their music into alternative genres. Their association with WOMEN'S EURO should provide additional proof that theirs is a sound with universal appeal.

Projects
As well as working together, Haji & Emanuel pursue solo projects. Seamus divides his time between being an international DJ, running his Big Love label, his own productions (he had a UK hit in 2007 with his cover of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life) and family life. Paul engineers for other artists and also composes and produces soundtracks.
