Olympique Lyonnais and France right-back Sandrine Dusang is set to miss the rest of the UEFA Women's Champions League and the summer's FIFA Women's World Cup after sustaining a knee injury.

The 27-year-old ruptured a cruciate ligament 21 minutes into the 1-0 win at Montpellier Hérault SC on Sunday that clinched Lyon's fifth straight French title and will be out for several months. Not only will Dusang forego the UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final against Arsenal LFC on 9 and 16 April, but she is out of the World Cup in Germany, having missed UEFA Women's EURO 2009 with a similar injury.

"It's a hard blow for the national team," France coach Bruno Bini said. His team are in World Cup Group A alongside hosts Germany, Canada and Nigeria, against whom they open the tournament on 26 June.
