Holders Lyon handed Vantaa challenge

Victors in the last two seasons, Olympique Lyonnais start against PK-35 Vantaa while FC Barcelona take on Arsenal LFC after the draws for the rounds of 32 and 16.

Olympique Lyonnais will begin their bid to win a third straight UEFA Women's Champions League title against PK-35 Vantaa while FC Barcelona will make their debut against Arsenal LFC after the draws for the rounds of 32 and 16 were made in Nyon.

Lyon, who have reached the last three finals having gone as far as the semis in their two previous entries, were among 16 seeded teams playing away in the first leg of 26/27 September and at home on 3/4 October. Opponents Vantaa of Finland were one of the ten clubs that progressed from the qualifying round last week.

Two-time European champions 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam, who lost to Lyon in the 2011 final which, like this season's decider, was played in London, have been matched with Standard Fémina de Liège while 2007 winners Arsenal start their journey to a possible showpiece in their home city against a famous name making their bow, Barcelona. Among the other debutants involed in the last 32, ambitious 2011/12 German league runners-up VfL Wolfsburg, will make their first appearance against RTP Unia Racibórz of Poland.

In the round of 16, for which an open draw was made, the winners of the match between Barcelona and Arsenal could face two-time champions Potsdam should they knock out Standard. Those ties will be played on 31 October/1 November and 7/8 November.

The draws were conducted by UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino and UEFA Head of Women's and Futsal Competitions Mikael Salzer.
