Seven in a row for Lyon

Olympique Lyonnais warmed up for Saturday's UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final with FCF Juvisy Essonne by lifting their seventh French title, one more than their rivals.

UEFA Women's Champions League holders Olympique Lyonnais have secured their seventh successive French league title thanks to a 7-0 win at Vendenheim FC.

The victory, in a rearranged fixture, was achieved largely thanks to three goals from Laëtitia Tonazzi and two by Eugénie Le Sommer at the Stade des Floralies. It means Patrice Lair's charges are an unassailable ten points clear of Paris Saint-Germain FC with three games left and now overtake FCF Juvisy Essonne as France's most successful club side; the teams had been level on six championships each.

Juvisy are Lyon's visitors on Saturday in the first leg of their UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final; the away return is on 21 April. Midfielder Camille Abily is confident her team-mates can quickly readjust their sights, saying: "French champions. Congratulations girls; now let's focus on the Champions League."
