VfL Wolfsburg warmed up for Thursday's UEFA Women's Champions League final with a domestic defeat of the side they beat in the last four while Marta earned Tyresö FF a draw in their last game before travelling to Lisbon.

On Friday night, Wolfsburg welcomed Potsdam three weeks after the 4-2 home win that took the defending European champions into another final. They repeated that form in a league game postponed due to that two-legged tie as Nadine Kessler scored on 28 minutes and Selina Wagner added another just past the hour for a 2-0 win against a Potsdam team reduced to ten players early on when Genoveva Añonma was dismissed.

Wolfsburg are now just one point behind both Potsdam and 1. FFC Frankfurt, leaders on goal difference, with three games to go. Frankfurt will host Potsdam and visit Wolfsburg in their last two matches next month.

Tyresö are at an earlier point of their season and have had two days' extra rest following Wednesday's 1-1 draw at unbeaten Göteborg FC. The home side struck early in the second half through Manon Melis but a low Marta free-kick seven minutes later ensured a draw.

"It went exactly where I wanted," said Marta, whose team moved into seventh place with seven points from five games, having lost their first two with under-strength lineups ahead of the two legs of their semi-final with Birmingham City LFC. Verónica Boquete sat out the Göteborg trip but expects to return from her hamstring injury in time to face Wolfsburg.
