Henning and Berger continue Paris influx

Paris Saint-Germain's determination to reach the UEFA Women's Champions League final at Berlin's Olympiastadion has been underlined by the signing of German duo Josephine Henning and Ann-Katrin Berger plus the new contracts agreed by Linda Bresonik, Sabrina Delannoy and Jessica Houara.

Defender Henning, 24, arrives from VfL Wolfsburg where she has won the European and German titles for the last two seasons, prizes she also took at 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam before her 2011 move. Goalkeeper Berger, 20, came to Potsdam that same year and has been capped at Under-23 level while UEFA Women's EURO 2013 winner Henning has made 19 senior appearances for Germany. Their signatures follow those of Germany attacker Fatmire Alushi and Sweden captain Caroline Seger.

Bresonik, recruited by Paris along with fellow Germany defender Annike Krahn in 2012 from MSV Duisburg, is among those reaffirming their commitment to the club, who have finished second behind Olympique Lyonnais in France for the past two campaigns. The 30-year-old, also a midfielder, has been capped 84 times and won the FIFA Women's World Cup, UEFA Women's EURO and former UEFA Women's Cup.

France defender Delannoy, 28, has been at Paris since 2005 while her fellow international, midfielder Houara, 26, joined in 2009 from AS Saint-Étienne. Paris, like Wolfsburg, begin the 2014/15 UEFA Women's Champions League in the round of 32.
